Fun Salad Recipes with Fruits to Detox and Cool Down.

Rising temperatures can make you dehydrated and lethargic. So, here are two fun ways to dress up the usual summer fruits, keep cool and be healthy. f ruit Salad Recipe #1: Watermelon Salad Ingredients:  Cubed seedless yellow and red watermelon (4 cups), cubed jicama or cucumber (3 cups), fresh lime juice (1/4 cup), salt and pepper to taste, mint leaves thinly sliced. Directions:  Toss all the ingredients together and serve immediately. Fruit Salad Recipe #2: Chilli Rubbed Melon Ingredients: 1 Honeydew melon, cut into large slices or wedges, chili powder, lime juice, salt. Directions:  Take each of the melon slices and coat them with lime juice. Then rub the chili powder and salt generously on both sides of the slice (the lime juice and natural juices of the melon will help it stick). Healthy Watermelon Sorbet

Is it a drink or is it a dessert? Try this healthy watermelon sorbet to cool you down this summer. Filled with flavours and low on calories, this recipe is the perfect dessert for a summer party. Ingredients 3 cups watermelon (tarbuj) cubes, deseeded 2 tbsp skim milk powder 2 sachets (1 gm each) sugar substitute 2 tsp lemon juice Method 1.    Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer till smooth. 2.    Transfer into a shallow container, cover and freeze for 4 to 6 hours. 3.    Scrape out using a fork and serve immediately in 4 individual small glasses. Healthy Corn Bhel Recipe.

Try this healthy version of this popular snack, corn bhel. Mixed with a healthy serving of vegetables, this is the perfect snack for your child and you. Ingredients 1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane) 1 tsp oil 1/2 cup finely chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped capsicum 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania) 1/2 cup apple cubes (with the skin) 1/4 cup orange segments (optional) A pinch of sugar 1 tbsp lemon juice Salt to taste Method 1.    Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame untill the onions turn light brown in colour. 2.    Add the capsicum and corn and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute. 3.    Transfer to a bowl, add all the remaining ingredients and mix well. 4.    Serve immediately garnished with sev.

HEALTHY SALAD RECIPE : LETUCE AND BEAN SPROUTS SALAD.

Try this interesting combination of bean sprouts and iceberg lettuce with a colourful mix of cherry tomatoes, spring onions and cheeslings.
